RTCH007TA Rheem Pool Chiller Heat Pump

The Rheem RTCH007TA-JQV and RTCH007TA-JQH pool chiller heat pumps deliver the same cooling performance, energy efficiency and operating characteristics. Both models feature a titanium shell and tube heat exchanger, Rheem IQ Control, a nominal cooling capacity of 7.32 kW, a COP of 3.54 under standard rating conditions, single phase 220-240V power supply, R410A refrigerant and a quiet operating noise level of just 51 dBA. They also share the same compressor, fan motor specifications, water flow rates, operating pressures and electrical requirements.

The primary difference between the two models is the cabinet design and airflow direction. The RTCH007TA-JQV features a top discharge fan, where air is exhausted vertically upwards. This design requires 2.5 metres of unobstructed clearance above the unit, making it ideal for installations with plenty of open space overhead. The cabinet measures 1007 mm long, 542 mm wide and 742 mm high, making it slightly narrower and taller than the alternative model. 

The RTCH007TA-JQH features a side discharge fan, directing airflow horizontally from the side of the unit. This configuration only requires 300 mm of clearance above the unit but needs 2.5 metres of unobstructed space in front of the fan discharge. Measuring 1007 mm long, 567 mm wide and 717 mm high, it is slightly wider and lower in height than the JQV model, making it better suited for installations beneath awnings, balconies or other areas with limited overhead clearance. 

Ultimately, both models provide identical cooling capacity, efficiency and reliability. The choice between the JQV and JQH comes down to the installation environment and the available space for airflow, allowing the most suitable cabinet configuration to be selected without compromising performance.
